Remote Hiring Pulse: Week of November 3, 2026

Each week we look at every live remote listing on NodJobs and report what the numbers say: who is hiring, in which fields, and what employers are paying. Here is the picture for the week of November 3, 2026.

The week in numbers

• 1,192 remote jobs are open right now, across 88 companies.
• 195 of them were posted in the last 7 days — about one in six.
• 1,168 are remote for US-based candidates, and 24 are open worldwide.
• 62% of listings show a salary. Across the 726 roles with a yearly USD range, the median of the posted ranges is $186,750.

Which fields are hiring

Sales & Business and Software Development together make up more than four in ten open roles. Sales also added the most new roles this week (46), followed by Software Development (24) and Marketing (23).

What the pay looks like

Among the roles listed here, AI & Machine Learning carries the highest median posted pay this week at $272,675 a year, well ahead of Product ($214,378), DevOps & Sysadmin ($207,350) and Software Development ($207,225). Customer Support has the lowest median at $125,000 — and with 16 new roles, it is also one of the more active fields for people early in a remote career.

Read these medians as a picture of the roles listed here, not of the whole job market. Our listings lean senior — 392 are manager-level, 198 senior, 158 principal or staff and 65 lead roles, against 26 internships — and come mostly from well-funded tech companies, so they run higher than broad-market salary surveys. Some fields also rest on a small number of published ranges (17 in Design, for example), so their medians can move a lot from week to week.

What this means if you're searching

• Apply early. One in six roles appeared in the last week, and fresh listings get the fewest applicants.
• Expect to see the pay. Most employers now publish a range, so you can skip roles that don't fit before you spend time on an application.
• Look beyond engineering. Sales, marketing, finance, HR and support together make up almost half of all open remote roles.
• Check the remote scope on every listing. Most roles here are remote for US-based candidates, and only a few are open worldwide.
